Corrosion Division Early-Career Award

About this program

The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Corrosion Division offers the annual Corrosion Division Early-Career Award, established in 2024 and presented at the ECS fall meeting, to recognize outstanding early-career contributions in corrosion science and technology. Nominees must have at least two consecutive years of ECS Corrosion Division membership prior to nomination, have published in an ECS journal, and have initiated their career no more than ten years before the nomination deadline (extensions for parental leave, military service, or long-term illness may be considered). Nominations (Oct 15–Jan 15 annually) require a completed electronic Award Nomination Form, nomination letter, CV/resume with employment/title and education/graduation dates, publications list, documentation of ECS membership/involvement, and supporting materials; unsuccessful nominations may be reconsidered the following cycle if still eligible. The award includes a framed certificate, USD 1,000, complimentary meeting registration and up to USD 1,000 toward ECS meeting travel, and the recipient is expected to present a lecture at a designated Corrosion Division symposium; contact awards@electrochem.org for questions.
