CREATE Grants — Emergency and Trauma Education funding (Colorado)

About this program

The Colorado Rural Health Center’s CREATE (Colorado Resource for Emergency And Trauma Education) Grants provide funding to public and private organizations to improve and expand Colorado’s emergency medical and trauma system by supporting continuing education for current EMS/trauma staff and initial training for new personnel. Reimbursable costs include tuition, course fees, required prerequisites and books, National Registry exams, certification cards, and reasonable travel expenses; awards are typically provided on a 50/50 cost-share basis, with financial waivers available for agencies that cannot meet the match. Eligible applicants are entities that provide EMS or trauma services in Colorado (e.g., ambulance and fire agencies, hospitals, clinics, training facilities, special districts, and state/local governing agencies). Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis by completing the CREATE Contact Form on the program website or contacting web@coruralhealth.org.
