CSA Research Fellowship

About this program

The Communal Studies Association offers an annual $1,600 Research Fellowship to support research on historic or contemporary intentional communities, with $1,000 awarded upon selection and $600 upon presentation at a subsequent CSA conference. Projects must advance the CSA’s mission and produce tangible scholarship presented at a CSA conference within approximately 18 months of the award. Applicants must be CSA members in good standing and submit a CV or résumé, two references, a two-page project description, timeline, bibliography and resource-access statement, and detailed budget by March 1. Applicants need not be institutionally affiliated but must demonstrate the qualifications to complete the proposed research.
