Damon Runyon Quantitative Biology Fellowship Award

About this program

The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation offers a three-year Quantitative Biology Fellowship Award to support computational scientists integrating quantitative methods, data science, and modeling with cancer biology research under joint “dry lab” and “wet lab” mentorship. Awards provide annual stipends of $76,000, $78,000, and $80,000, plus $2,000 in annual research expenses; physician-scientists may also qualify for up to $100,000 in medical school loan repayment. Applicants must hold a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, DDS, DVM, DO, or equivalent, have two qualified mentors, and meet career-stage requirements, including no more than 24 months in the mentors’ laboratories before the deadline and no concurrent postdoctoral fellowship or NIH K award. Applications are due through ProposalCentral by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 1, 2026; non-U.S. citizens must conduct the research at a U.S.-based institution.
