David G. Kendall Award for Young Researchers

About this program

Offered biennially by the Bernoulli Society and the Royal Statistical Society in honour of David G. Kendall, this joint award recognises outstanding research in Mathematical Statistics and Probability Theory, carries a prize of €2,000 and a certificate, and funds the winner’s delivery of the Kendall Lecture at the next BS or RSS major conference. The award alternates fields on a four‑year rotation between Mathematical Statistics and Probability Theory. Eligible candidates are early‑career researchers who received their PhD within the past eight years (with up to one year’s credit per year of parental leave), are members of either society, and demonstrate significant achievement and promise.
