David G. Kendall Award for Young Researchers (Bernoulli Society & RSS)

The Bernoulli Society and the Royal Statistical Society jointly award the biennial David G. Kendall Award to recognize outstanding young researchers in Mathematical Statistics and Probability Theory, providing a €2,000 prize and certificate and expecting the winner to deliver the Kendall Lecture at the next major BS or RSS conference (award intended to cover attendance expenses). Applicants must have received their PhD within eight years prior to the year of competition (with up to one year credit per year for parental leave) and be a member of either the Bernoulli Society or the Royal Statistical Society. The award alternates between Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics (2025 is for Probability), nominations are open April 1–June 30, the committee decides by September 30 with presidential approval by end-November, and the Bernoulli Society administers the award (secretariat@bernoullisociety.org).
