DEI Abstract Award (Health Equity Abstract Award)

About this program

The Heart Rhythm Society sponsors the DEI (Health Equity) Abstract Award to recognize abstracts that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion by narrowing gaps in electrophysiology (EP) healthcare. The primary recipient receives a commemorative plaque, $1,500 cash, complimentary registration to the Heart Rhythm meeting, and honorary mention; one runner-up (selected during the DEI oral abstract session) receives a $500 cash award, a certificate, and honorary mention. Eligible abstracts include basic, translational, clinical, community-initiative, or industry-partnership research that targets HRS-defined underrepresented race/ethnic groups, addresses inequalities in the application of available EP therapies, or proposes solutions to barriers affecting women and/or UREGs; no application deadline or LOI date is listed.
