Dermatologic Surgery Career Development Award

About this program

The Dermatology Foundation’s Dermatologic Surgery Career Development Award supports research that advances the practice of dermatologic surgery and fosters the teaching, research, and leadership development of dermatologic surgeons, with projects spanning skin cancers, treatment outcomes, Mohs techniques, reconstruction, wound healing, surgical complications, patient‑reported outcomes, laser surgery, and noninvasive imaging. All Foundation‑funded research must be conducted in the United States under the sponsorship of an ACGME‑approved department or division of dermatology, and applicants must meet the Dermatology Foundation’s general and award‑specific eligibility requirements in effect at the time of funding. Applicants from minority and underserved populations are encouraged to apply, and proposals addressing health issues affecting racial, sexual/gender/LGBTQ, or other disadvantaged groups are particularly welcome.
