DF Skin of Color Society Collaborative Mid-career Research Award

About this program

The Dermatology Foundation and Skin of Color Society offer the Collaborative Mid-career Research Award to support established investigators conducting innovative basic, clinical, or translational research addressing dermatologic conditions affecting skin of color and advancing health equity. For the 2027 cycle, only renewals will be accepted, with renewals due January 1, 2027; new applications are not being accepted. Eligible applicants must hold an MD, MD/PhD, DO, or PhD; have a primary faculty appointment in an ACGME-accredited dermatology department within 12 years of appointment as an assistant professor; devote at least 75% effort to research; and demonstrate appropriate training, experience, and commitment to dermatologic research. Research must be conducted in the United States under an eligible dermatology department, and applicants may not hold other Dermatology Foundation support at the time of funding.
