The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) offers the Diagnostics Accelerator: Peripheral Biomarkers Program to advance the development of peripheral biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, focusing on blood, saliva, urine, and ocular markers. Funding supports exploratory, proof-of-principle, and validation studies, with awards up to $250,000 for exploratory projects, $500,000 for proof-of-principle, and variable amounts for validation based on scope. Eligibility is open to researchers and clinicians worldwide from academic medical centers, universities, nonprofits, and for-profit companies, with strong encouragement for industry partnerships and a return on investment requirement for for-profit entities. Although the current funding round is closed, ADDF plans to reopen the RFP process in the future.
