Dietrich Schüller Award for Audiovisual Training

About this program

International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA) funds the Dietrich Schüller Award for Audiovisual Training to offset costs (travel, accommodation, per diem, course fees, materials) for professional training in sound or moving-image archiving, including care, access, and long-term preservation. Awards are up to €1,000 per applicant (total annual awards capped at €2,000) and cannot be used for IASA conferences; multiple awards may be issued if budget allows and applicants should explain how any additional costs will be covered. Applicants must be current IASA members and apply in English via the member-only form; preference is given to candidates from less-developed countries and applicants may be asked to demonstrate the training’s professional standard. Successful recipients must provide official invoices and proof of attendance and submit a short post-training report; recipients are ineligible for future Dietrich Schüller Awards.
