The National Dental Association Foundation offers the Dr. James E. Lassiter Audacity to Dream Leadership Award, a $10,000 merit scholarship awarded annually to a dental student demonstrating leadership, academic achievement, service, and commitment to oral health equity and mentorship. Applications open March 1 and are due May 31 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled in a U.S. ADA/CODA-accredited dental school, maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and hold active Student National Dental Association membership in good standing. Candidates must document meaningful leadership and community impact and submit a transcript, CV, photograph, leadership statement, recommendation letters, and a video describing their qualifications and connection to Dr. Lassiter’s legacy.
