Dr. Sam Gambhir Annual Lecture in Nuclear Medicine (Plenary Lecture Award)

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) sponsors the Dr. Sam Gambhir Annual Lecture, a named plenary at the SNMMI Theranostics Meeting recognizing cutting‑edge work in early disease detection, imaging science, molecular diagnostics, theranostics, radiopharmaceutical development and personalized medicine, and provides a one‑time $12,500 award to support the presenter. Nominees must have a minimum of five consecutive years of SNMMI membership and may be early‑career investigators (within 10 years of terminal degree) or established investigators (more than 10 years post‑degree); both U.S. and international applicants are eligible. Nominations require a completed application, the nominee’s CV, a primary letter of support from the nominator and at least one additional support letter, and candidates are evaluated on innovation, translational potential, collaboration, mentorship/leadership and scholarly dissemination through SNMMI’s Grants & Awards and Study Section review.
