E. Leonard Jossem International Education Fund

About this program

Offered by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), the E. Leonard Jossem International Education Fund provides grants of $200–$2,000 to support international activities that advance the teaching and learning of physics, specifically U.S.–developing-country collaborations and international meetings or conferences that foster networking and lasting educational exchanges. Applicants must be AAPT members actively engaged in physics education (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and high school, college, or university faculty) and proposals must emphasize networking aspects; support for students and faculty with limited resources to attend meetings is eligible. Applications are submitted online (PDF available) with materials emailed to eo@aapt.org, must be received by late spring/early summer (aligned with the Special Projects Fund summer-meeting deadline), are reviewed by the Special Projects and Philanthropy Committee, and awardees must submit original receipts and comply with AAPT travel policies.
