EAOG Research Awards

About this program

The European Association of Organic Geochemists offers Research Awards of up to €3,000 to support young scientists conducting thesis-related research in organic geochemistry or biogeochemistry, particularly through work at an international host laboratory. Funding may cover travel, accommodation, and, when justified, living, analytical, or fieldwork costs; bench fees are excluded. Applicants must be Ph.D. students or newly qualified PhDs, and applications are open to Europeans and non-Europeans who have arranged host-laboratory approval in advance. Applications must include a proposal, CV, and recommendations from supervisors at both home and host institutions and are due December 1, 2026.
