Early Career Health Paper Award (HPSIG, System Dynamics Society)

About this program

The Health Policy Special Interest Group (HPSIG) of the System Dynamics Society administers the Early Career Health Paper Award, a $3,000 prize funded by community donors to recognize outstanding health-related papers presented at the International System Dynamics Conference. The award aims to encourage early-career contributions to health system dynamics and is presented at the Annual HPSIG Members’ Meeting with an announcement at a conference plenary. Applicants must self-nominate via the conference submissions system and be current graduate students or have completed their training no more than five years prior to submission; papers must be accepted for presentation at ISDC and demonstrate focus on dynamic health-system phenomena, technical quality, and original dynamic insights. Coauthored papers are eligible but any ineligible coauthors must provide a statement that eligible authors contributed the majority (≥85%) of the work, and winners must attend the HPSIG meeting to receive and discuss the prize.
