About this program
APA Division 7 (Developmental Psychology) offers the Early Career Research Grant to support research by outstanding early career division members, with one or two $1,000 awards available annually. Submissions are accepted January 1–March 15, with the current deadline on March 15, 2026. Eligible applicants are early career Division 7 members who have not previously received federal research funding as a principal investigator or co‑investigator (pre‑PhD training funds and F31 awards are excluded from that count). Awardees do not need to attend the APA convention to receive the grant.
