Eastern Oregon Border Board Ready Workforce Mobilization Grant

Eastern Oregon Border Economic Development Board, administered through the Oregon Community Foundation, is offering Ready Workforce Mobilization Grants to support projects that significantly expand education, workforce, and economic development capacity in the Border Region, with priority for initiatives that enhance regional prosperity, property tax base, competitiveness with Idaho, workforce skills/availability, and leverage outside funding. Awards of up to $100,000 may cover direct costs such as equipment, facility upgrades, start‑up or expansion expenses, and services to mobilize workforce around housing, childcare, transportation and accessibility; indirect costs are ineligible. Eligible applicants include businesses, nonprofits, local governments and education service providers located in the Border Region; a one-to-one cash match (exclusive of in-kind) with documentation is required and preference is given to projects demonstrating sustainability and targeting workers who live/work or attend school full time in the Region. Applications are submitted via MyOCF during the August 1–September 30 window (deadline September 30, 5 p.m. MT); written questions must be submitted at least two weeks before the deadline.
