ECP Teaching and Mentoring Award

About this program

The Entomological Society of America offers the ECP Teaching and Mentoring Award to recognize a Student Transition or Early Professional member who demonstrates excellence in entomological education and mentoring; the recipient receives complimentary registration to the ESA Annual Meeting, $1,000, and an award plaque. Nominees must be current ESA Student Transition or Early Professional (ECP) members, eligible the year after their terminal degree or within five years of degree completion (recent graduates considered students through year-end and thus typically ineligible); eligibility-extension requests may be submitted to awards@entsoc.org by May 1. Nominations may be made by anyone (maximum two self-nominations per year) and must be submitted electronically via the ESA awards portal by June 1, including a CV with specified sections, the nominee’s teaching statement (≤2 pages), and two letters of recommendation. The complete package must be ≤20 pages, uploaded as individual PDF/TIF/JPG files with font ≥10 pt; candidates are notified about two months after the deadline.
