About this program

The Carter Center Educational Programs offers paid internships (stipend) and funded graduate assistantships (hourly compensation) in Atlanta that provide professional experience in peace, health, and operations. Internships are open to undergraduate juniors/seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates (within 24 months); Summer 2026 applications are due 2026-03-02 (start 2026-05-19) and Fall 2026 applications are due 2026-06-15 (start 2026-08-25). Graduate assistantships are for currently enrolled master’s and doctoral students, require a 9–12 month commitment at 20 hours/week; applications open 2026-02-16 with a 2026-04-23 deadline and recommendation letters due 2026-04-30.
