Elizabeth Gardner Norweb Summer Environmental Studies Scholarship

About this program

The Garden Club of America offers the Elizabeth Gardner Norweb Summer Environmental Studies Scholarship, a $3,000 award to one college undergraduate each year to support summer field work, research, or classroom study in the environmental field beyond regular course requirements (for study following freshman, sophomore, or junior year). Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled at a U.S.-based institution; international students are ineligible due to IRS restrictions. Only one GCA scholarship/fellowship/award application may be submitted annually (this scholarship is reviewed alongside other GCA summer awards), and applications must be submitted electronically or by mail to GCA Headquarters and received by February 5 preceding the summer of study; recipients are selected by the GCA Scholarship Committee.
