Emerging Researcher Grant

About this program

ASRT Foundation’s Emerging Researcher Grant supports medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals beginning scientific research in radiologic technology, funding projects up to $4,000 and providing complimentary access to Research and Writing Essentials courses. Submissions are accepted continuously and reviewed in two annual grant rounds (typical timelines: Spring — LOI Nov 1, full proposal Jan 1, decision Jun 1; Fall — LOI May 1, full proposal Jul 1, decision Dec 1). Applicants must be ASRT members who have received no more than one prior grant, submit the Emerging Researcher Questionnaire to foundation@asrt.org, work with an assigned Research Mentor, and complete the full Emerging Researcher Application. Proposals should address a significant research question in medical imaging or radiation therapy with appropriate methodology and budget; applicants must be prepared to obtain IRB approval and completion of NIH’s Research Ethics Course is highly encouraged.
