Encompass Midcareer Investigator Research Grant (Mid-Career Investigator Research Grant)

About this program

The Foundation for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with support from Encompass Health, offers a single $25,000 Mid-Career Investigator Research Grant as seed funding for short-term (1–2 year) projects that extend an established investigator’s PM&R research into new directions, with preference for proposals aligned to the Foundation’s stated research priorities; the award is presented at the AAP annual meeting. Eligible applicants are physiatrists or faculty in a PM&R division who are 5–20 years post-completion of their terminal degree and training and must demonstrate a history of successful research experience. Applications must be submitted via the Foundation’s online portal and include the required application form, concise statement of purpose and anticipated outcomes, proposed budget (indirect costs ≤10% and showing other support), institutional letter of support, and CV; consult the program page for the current submission deadline.
