Entergy Open Grants Program

About this program

Entergy’s Open Grants Program provides rolling competitive community grants from the corporate sponsor to support arts and culture, education and workforce development, poverty solutions and social services, healthy families, and community improvement; applications are submitted online via Entergy’s Blackbaud portal, with review and notification typically in 8–12 weeks and applicants asked to apply at least three months before funds are needed. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) public charities and private foundations, schools, hospitals, governmental units and religious institutions with comparable nonprofit status, qualifying state/local governments for public-purpose donations, 501(c)(19) veterans organizations, and 501(c)(4) volunteer fire departments, with priority for projects in Entergy’s service-area counties and parishes. Applications must be submitted online (no paper or email), require current IRS documentation for verification (or a W‑9 if not identified as a 501(c)(3) in the portal), and will not fund utility bills, political entities, individual grants or loans, amateur sports purchases, activities solely promoting a religion, or organizations owned/operated by Entergy employees; Mississippi applicants should note an April 1 deadline.
