ERS/ELF best abstract grant for Healthy Lungs for Life

European Lung Foundation (ELF) sponsors the ERS/ELF Best Abstract Grant for Healthy Lungs for Life, awarding the most newsworthy abstract author early-bird registration and a travel grant to attend the ERS Congress 2026 in Barcelona. The award targets research and prevention topics linked to the Healthy Lungs for Life campaign, including smoking cessation, physical activity, vaccination, air quality and climate change. Eligible applicants must be ERS active members who submit an abstract on a Healthy Lungs for Life topic, achieve a minimum average abstract grade of 3.5, be 40 years of age or under at the application deadline, and must not have previously won this ERS/ELF grant or received any other ERS grant or sponsorship in the past three years.
