ESPGHAN International Exchange Award

About this program

The European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) offers the International Exchange Award to support short placements within Europe, providing grants up to EUR 3,000 to cover travel and accommodation for visits of up to 12 months (not payable for attendance at courses, schools, symposia, or conferences). Eligible applicants are ESPGHAN members in good standing who are early-career investigators/clinicians with less than ten years in the sub‑specialty, and both home and host institution supervisors must also be ESPGHAN members. Applications are accepted year‑round and must include a letter of intent outlining the visit and expected benefits, a current CV, and a host confirmation letter co‑signed by supervisors; decisions are coordinated by the General Secretary and reviewed by ESPGHAN Council with notification within six weeks. Awardees must submit a one‑page report signed by the host supervisor and a financial statement with receipts within one month of completion before funds are released.
