European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) offers Collaborative Research Meeting Awards to fund research meetings/workshops that initiate or develop interdisciplinary projects and networks in paediatric infectious diseases, covering essential meeting costs. Awards typically range €2,000–€5,000 for 1‑day meetings (larger awards possible for complex events); 50% is paid on receipt of the finalized programme and 50% after approval of the final report and budget, with decisions usually within four weeks. Applicants must be ESPID members in good standing, with core applicants being ESPID scientists and applications signed by researchers from at least three countries; meetings should be directly relevant to paediatric infectious diseases (normally held in Europe). Applications (in English) require a clear proposal, detailed budget, copies of written interest from delegates, and evidence that any previous ESPID award reports have been approved; funds are paid to the applicant’s institution and incomplete applications will not be considered.
