ESRS Two-Week Training Grant

About this program

The European Sleep Research Society (ESRS) offers the Two-Week Training Grant to enable early-career ESRS members in sleep research or sleep medicine to undertake a full-time, transferrable two-week visit to an experienced laboratory within the ESRS Network in a European country other than their own; one grant of up to €1,400 is awarded annually to support travel, accommodation and subsistence. Applicants must be ESRS members currently training in sleep research or sleep medicine, secure a host supervisor and formal agreement at application, and must not have received this grant in the previous three years; the visit must start within one year of notification and generally cannot be split or reduced. Applications (deadline 31 January 2026) require a one-page cover letter stating objectives and benefits, home supervisor release, host supervisor acceptance and CV (1 page), candidate CV (max 2 pages) and publications list, cost breakdown and passport/ID; recipients must submit a one-page summary report within one month of completion or face a five-year ban from ESRS bursaries/grants.
