Established Investigator Award

About this program

The American Heart Association’s Established Investigator Award supports experienced investigators conducting cardiovascular and related research (including work on sudden cardiac arrest) by providing project funding to advance independent programs of research. Applicants must qualify as established investigators at an eligible institution, be American Heart Association Professional Members at the time of submission, and secure an authorized institutional representative’s signature; a mandatory pre-proposal is required and selected candidates are invited to submit an abbreviated full proposal. Submissions are made electronically via ProposalCentral (system opens eight weeks before the deadline) and must be received by 3 p.m. Central on the deadline date with no late submissions, extensions, or appeals; refer to the AHA application instructions and policies for budget restrictions and peer-review criteria.
