Etruscan Foundation Research Fellowship

About this program

The Etruscan Foundation offers a $7,500 Research Fellowship to support research on Etruscan and indigenous cultures of non‑Greek Italy from the Neolithic through the 1st century BCE, funding travel, lodging, meals, and research-related materials. Eligible applicants are Canadian and U.S. citizens and those affiliated with U.S. institutions who are PhD candidates (ABD), independent PhD researchers, or untenured PhD faculty; Honorary Advisory members are ineligible. Funds may be used for archaeological fieldwork, site surveying, collection analysis, museum study, or archival research in Italy, and all research must conform to the Archaeological Institute of America’s Code of Ethics. Complete application materials must be received by the foundation office by March 1.
