Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award: Capacity Building

About this program

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), an independent nonprofit and leading funder of patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research, offers Engagement Awards: Capacity Building to strengthen patients’, stakeholders’, and researchers’ skills and capacity for meaningful participation in patient-centered CER. Projects may receive up to $300,000 in total costs for a maximum of two years, with up to $25 million available in fiscal year 2025; research studies are not eligible. Nonprofit and for-profit organizations may apply, but individuals may not; U.S. applicants must have a Federal Employer Identification Number, and foreign applicants must demonstrate benefits to the U.S. healthcare system and engagement of U.S. patients and stakeholders. Applicants must submit an LOI by September 26, 2024, and invited applicants may submit full proposals by January 13, 2025, with projects requiring sustained patient and stakeholder involvement, shared leadership, evaluation, and plans for future sustainability.
