Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award: Capacity Building (Spring 2025 Cycle)

About this program

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) offers up to $25 million through its Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award: Capacity Building program to strengthen patients’, families’, caregivers’, and healthcare community members’ ability to participate meaningfully in patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research. Awards support projects of up to two years and $300,000 in total costs, with an April 1, 2025, Letter of Intent deadline and full proposals by invitation. Nonprofit and for-profit organizations may apply; individuals may not, and foreign applicants must demonstrate benefits to the U.S. healthcare system and engagement of U.S. patients and stakeholders. Projects must include patient and stakeholder partners throughout planning and implementation, demonstrate a need and pathway for future patient-centered CER participation, and comply with PCORI’s engagement, budget, evaluation, and human-subject protections requirements.
