Eye & Vision Research Grants (Eversight)

About this program

Eversight invites investigators at its partner institutions to apply for Eye & Vision Research Grants to seed promising projects focused on human ocular tissue, corneal disease and surgery, and innovations in eye banking (animal-only studies considered only if directly related to corneal/eye-bank aims). Awards provide up to $15,000 for a one-year project (possible one-year no-cost extension) to support pilot data, preliminary lab work or new research directions that could lead to larger grants. Applicants must be faculty at the assistant professor level or above, may not have received Eversight funding in the previous cycle, and proposed budgets must exclude indirect/overhead, salaries, training costs and travel; equipment requests must be clearly justified. IRB or IACUC approval is required before funds are released, awardees must submit a final lay summary and report publications/presentations acknowledging Eversight, and selections are made by an independent Research Review Committee with final approval by Eversight’s Board.
