About this program

Eversight offers one-year Eye & Vision Research Grants of up to $15,000 in seed funding for preliminary studies, pilot projects, and initial data collection on vision disorders, with emphasis on human ocular tissue, corneal disease and surgery, and eye banking innovations. Funding is intended to support new investigators or new research directions that can lead to larger external awards; projects relying solely on animal models must directly address corneal disease, surgery, or eye bank practices. Applicants must be faculty at the assistant professor level or above from Eversight partner institutions, and prior Eversight awardees from the previous cycle are ineligible. Budgets may not include salary, indirect costs, training, or travel, and applicants must obtain required IRB/IACUC approvals and submit final and dissemination reports.
