The Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) offers GEMSSTAR Grants to supplement National Institute on Aging (NIA) GEMSSTAR R03 awards with funding for professional development activities supporting anesthesiology-focused aging research. Awards provide $50,000 over two years for education, training, and techniques that advance early-career physician-investigators toward leadership in aging or geriatric research. Eligible applicants are new investigators who hold an NIA R03 GEMSSTAR award and commit 75% research time; applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
