FAER Mentoring Excellence in Research Award

About this program

The Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) Academy of Research Mentors in Anesthesiology presents the Mentoring Excellence in Research Award annually at the ANESTHESIOLOGY® meeting to honor outstanding mentorship and the career development of anesthesiology physician-scientists. The award recognizes sustained impact on mentees rather than the nominee’s personal scientific accomplishments. Nominees must be actively engaged in anesthesiology mentorship, may be basic, clinical, or translational researchers of any nationality, and cannot be prior recipients; self-nominations are not accepted. Nominations are due March 31 and must include a nomination form, the nominee’s CV and mentor table, and letters from the nominator and two current or former mentees.
