Family Medicine Cares USA

About this program

The AAFP Foundation’s Family Medicine Cares USA program provides grants of up to $25,000 to help new free clinics open, with additional grants of up to $10,000 available to existing clinics serving uninsured community members. Applicants must have an AAFP member in an active leadership role, meet the program’s guidelines, and, for new clinics, open within six months of the application deadline and receive or be pursuing the NAFC Seal of Excellence. Applications are accepted annually from March 15 through July 15 at 11:59 p.m. CDT, with priority for clinics led by an AAFP medical director and those involving family medicine residents or medical student volunteers.
