Fellows-to-Faculty Award

About this program

The Simons Foundation’s Fellows-to-Faculty Award provides up to five years of support for fellows transitioning to independent faculty careers. The Faculty Research Award offers $200,000 annually for three years, including 20% indirect costs, to supplement institutional start-up funding, while an optional two-year Postdoctoral Award provides an $85,000 stipend plus allowances for career development, health insurance, and benefits. Applicants must be eligible fellows establishing or transitioning to an independent laboratory and may be affiliated with institutions inside or outside the United States; the Postdoctoral Award is available during the faculty job-market transition.
