FWH 2025 Request for Applications (RFA)

About this program

FWH issues annual Requests for Applications to target overlooked and underfunded areas of women's health research, with 2025 priorities including adolescent girls' mental health, uterine cancer, autoimmune disease, vaccine uptake in adolescent girls and pregnant women, cardiovascular disease, and uterine fibroids. Funding supports research projects aligned with those priorities; specific award amounts, deadlines, and application instructions are provided on each RFA. Eligibility and administrative policies—such as whether investigators at non‑U.S. institutions may apply, nonprofit versus for‑profit applicant rules, limits on multiple submissions by a single PI, grant term lengths, and indirect cost allowances—are detailed in the RFA FAQs and must be reviewed before applying.
