The Foundation for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, funded by an endowment from Jack Swafford and the AAPM&R Pediatric Council, offers the Gabriella E. Molnar-Swafford Pediatric PM&R Research Grant: one $10,000 award to support research on pediatric rehabilitation (patients under 21), with emphasis on best practices, models of care, and outcomes. Applications must be submitted by May 1 and the award is presented at the AAPM&R Annual Assembly. Applicants must be members of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) or the Association of Academic Physiatrists (or include at least one such co-investigator) and must submit the Foundation application form, project statement with anticipated outcomes, proposed budget, institutional letter of support, and CV. Budgets must limit indirect costs to ≤10% and may not include PI salary, equipment purchases (except disposables), or travel to present findings.
