About this program

The Gateway Children’s Charity (GCC) offers grants to support early childhood programs in underserved St. Louis communities through two funding streams: Expansion grants for capital expenses to increase classroom space and Capacity Building grants for quality improvement initiatives. Expansion grants provide up to $100,000 as one-time awards, while Capacity Building grants offer up to $50,000 for one-year projects. Eligible applicants must be IRC 501(c)(3) public charities serving preschool to kindergarten-aged children in Saint Louis City or County, with Expansion grant applicants required to demonstrate student achievement results.
