About this program

Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation's Fundamental Physics Innovation Awards, administered by APS Innovation, provided grants in three categories—Lectureship, Visitor, and Convening Awards—to stimulate new ideas and innovative technologies for addressing problems in fundamental particle physics and interactions. Recipients were chosen by APS based on recommendations from an external scientific advisory board, with awards intended to support seminar presentations, extended collaborative visits, and small scientific meetings that foster collaboration around emerging-technology solutions. Inaugurated in 2018 and run in partnership with APS through 2023, the program aimed to bring researchers together to develop and discuss innovative approaches to pressing questions in fundamental particles and interactions.
