Histochemical Society Cornerstone Grant

About this program

The Histochemical Society’s Cornerstone Grant supports early-career clinicians and scientists conducting research using immunohistochemistry, histochemical techniques, in situ hybridization, or related methods. The award provides $3,250 for direct costs, with approximately one year to complete the project, followed by submission of a scientific report and conference abstract. Eligible applicants include residents or fellows, PhD or thesis-based Master’s students, and combined-degree students; international applicants are welcome, but recipients must become Histochemical Society members before funds are disbursed. Applications require a research plan, budget, student CV, mentor biosketch, letter of support, and ORCID IDs, with projects evaluated for methodological necessity, feasibility, institutional support, and significance.
