Edward Mallinckrodt Jr. Foundation offers targeted funding to advance early-career biomedical researchers through Grant and Scholar awards and the Oliver M. Langenberg Physician-Scientist Training Program, aimed at positioning investigators for independent funding and fostering physician‑scientist careers. The Grant Program provides startup support for tenure‑track faculty in years 1–4 holding an M.D. and/or Ph.D. at U.S. academic institutions, with submissions limited to one candidate per U.S. university or biomedical research institution. The Scholar Program supports tenure‑track faculty in years 5–8 with M.D. and/or Ph.D. degrees at U.S. institutions, is by invitation only (31 institutions invited to submit two candidates), and provides $125,000 annually for four years. The PSTP supports combined clinical and research training for aspiring physician‑scientists; specific eligibility and application details are provided by the Foundation.
