Grants for Excellence

About this program

The Saginaw Community Foundation’s Grants for Excellence program awards up to $1,500 for creative, innovative educational projects that supplement traditional P-12 curricula in Saginaw County during the 2026–27 school year. Projects should engage students, strengthen understanding of core concepts, and support innovative teaching, with applications due November 1, 2026. All Saginaw County P-12 educators are eligible, although each applicant may receive only one grant per year and proposals are reviewed competitively. Funds generally may not support facility renovations, religious or nonacademic activities, standalone equipment, out-of-region trips, tuition, or social-emotional projects; awardees must submit a written evaluation by July 1, 2027.
