Gravely Grants Program for Chapters (Chapter Teaching Tools Grant Program)

About this program

AFCEA Educational Foundation’s Gravely (Chapter Teaching Tools) Grants Program provides $500 per participating AFCEA chapter per school year (pending funding) to support a single elementary or high-school STEM teacher in augmenting student STEM activities; grant funds are intended to be matched by chapter contributions and may be used for consumable supplies, hardware, software, instructional equipment, or extracurricular STEM programs. Individual AFCEA chapters select one teacher (prioritizing those in poorly supported or economically disadvantaged schools; international chapters may select DoDD or equivalent schools) and awards are generally not renewable to the same teacher/school. Chapters must submit a Chapter Annual Report and a detailed usage/impact report—due by September 30 to confirm continued participation—documenting selected teacher and school, matching funds, expenditures, an evaluation of impact (approximate number of students), chapter contact information, intent to continue, and photos if available.
