About this program

The Association of College Unions International (ACUI) offers the Gretchen Laatsch Grant & Scholarship to support graduate student research, writing, and related projects in college unions and student activities, with awards of up to $750. Nominations are open through November 20. Eligible applicants are degree-seeking graduate students enrolled at ACUI member institutions who are not full-time institutional employees; projects may include theses, dissertations, practicum research, collaborative studies, or publication-ready articles. Applications must include a recommendation letter and an anonymous, 2,000-word project proposal with a budget and timeline, and funded work must produce an ACUI-related article, session, or resource within 18 months.
