About this program

Experimental Psychology Society’s Grindley Grant provides individual travel funding (up to £500) to support attendance and work within the EPS domain, with preference for EPS scientific meetings and EPS‑supported workshops. Eligible reimbursements cover travel (cheapest reasonable means; taxi only in exceptional circumstances), mileage at 45p/mile with receipts, and accommodation up to £100/day, while registration fees and costs reimbursed from other sources are excluded. Applicants must be EPS postgraduate members or retired EPS members; awards for non‑EPS conferences are limited to presenters and only after presentation at an EPS meeting (only one non‑EPS conference award ever permitted), and applicants may receive a maximum of two Grindley Grants per calendar year. Applications are emailed to expsychsoc@kent.ac.uk and must arrive at least 4 weeks before a non‑EPS conference or 2 weeks before an EPS meeting; reimbursements are paid to the individual on submission of receipts (including VAT) and claims must be made within two months.
