About this program
The Leducq Foundation offers $5 million over five years through its Group A Strep–Immune Correlates of Protection Project to identify protective human immune responses to Group A streptococcal infection and advance vaccine development. Proposed research should characterize how immunity develops over the life course and may also clarify mechanisms underlying acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease.
