Gus Poesch Travel Grant

About this program

The G. H. “Gus” Poesch Research Fund at The Ohio State University, administered by the American Floral Endowment (AFE), provides annual support (approximately $40,000 total) and offers travel grants to enable floriculture graduate students to present research and to support educational travel for early-career floriculture faculty. Individual travel awards are limited to $1,500 and requests must include a copy of the abstract to be presented. Applications must be submitted as a single PDF by August 1 to afe@endowment.org and must be submitted and signed by an OSU faculty member (students may not apply directly); approvals are made before September 1. Awarded funds are paid to the specified OSU department for distribution, and recipients must submit a written report/article with photos for AFE communications, acknowledge AFE funding in presentations/publications, and participate in AFE’s Young Professionals Council.
